Shopping cart search engine optimization (webpage content keywords optimization) involves the following works:
(The most of this part are technical works, what I write are some simple articles, if you cann’t understand them You can omit them and hand them to the designer and the programmer)
- a. Webpage Title keywords.
- 2~3 main keywords. You’d better make every page’ title different, contain not only the general keywords but the detailed keywords. For example: homepage title keywords: ecommerce solutions. Column page layout keywords: ecommerce promotion – ecommerce solutions.
- b. HTML Meta.
- Keywords and description. Keywords should be less than five words. Description should contain the keywords and describe the content of this page accurately.

- The title of the links should be written. Repeating the keywords again and again isn’t a good choice, and you should describe the content that this links point to clearly
- d. <img src=”" alt=”" />
- The description of the picture isn’t merely repeating the keywords, but describe the content of the picture in detail.
- e. H1,H2,H3
- The keywords should be set in the middle of H1,H2,H3, which will tell Google how important the keywords is.
- f. Tag
- The website tag is just the keywords. If you click this tag, you can find more articles concerned this keywords.
- g. URL Rewrite (SEO URLs)
- The keywords should be showed in the website URL, in which the character like ?,& should be quit. For example: Shopping-caht-template-design.html
- h. images file name.
- The file name of the picture should contain the keywords and the website address, which will give Google’ picture search engine a good chance to understand the content of your pictures. Picture searching will bring the traffic, for example: opencart_template_design_01_iecsp.com.JPG
- i. DIV,CSS
- You’d better adopt DIV+CSS layout, which will bring a clear website code introduction. If the design of the website is excessively complicated, Table layout is not a bag choice. Usually speaking, The layout of Table and DIV have a small influence on SEO.
- j. Free, Download, Cheap, Sales, On sales
- You should add more words to the content of your website, for example, Free shipping, Download, Cheap, Sales, On sales, etc. For instance, the sharpe pictures of your products can be downloaded by th way of packing. Every product is sold on discount, etc.
- k. The random changing website content
- The content of the homepage need to be changed regularly, for example, update the new products and blog constantly, change testimonials randomly, etc.
- l. The keywords of the article link across
- If there are the keywords in the website article, you should try your best to link it to the page layout that is close to this keywords. For example, the word “opencart” appear in the article, so this word shoud be linked to the page layout concerned opencart.
- m. No bad links, no flash navigation. Clear HTML navigation
- The links that cann’t be visited shouldn’t exist in the website article, which can be checked by the tools. Don’t use Flash as the navigation, the arrangement of HTML navigation links should be clear and reasonable.
- n. Google sitemap
- Generating the compatible Google sitemap.xml file will assist Google and Yahoo embody the content of the page layout much better.
